ΔΗΜΟΤΙΚΗ ΠΙΝΑΚΟΘΗΚΗ ΚΟΡΙΝΘΟΥ
Το Κέντρο Πολιτισμού Αθλητισμού και Περιβάλλοντος (ΚΕΠΑΠ), η Δημοτική Πινακοθήκη Κορίνθου, το Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Φωτογραφίας Κορινθίας 2020 / Corinth Exposed Photography Festival 2020 και το Πελοποννησιακό Ινστιτούτο Τεχνών, παρουσιάζουν από το Σάββατο 26 Σεπτεμβρίου 2020, την ατομική έκθεση φωτογραφίας του Σουηδού φωτογράφου Lars Gustafsson με τίτλο “Photographs for the color-blind dreamer”, στο χώρο της Δημοτικής Πινακοθήκης Κορίνθου.
Διάρκεια έκθεσης: Από 26 Σεπτεμβρίου ως 9 Οκτωβρίου 2020
Ώρες λειτουργίας: Καθημερινά από τις 10:00 ως τις 13:00 και κάθε Παρασκευή από τις 19:00 ως τις 21:00

Artistic statement
First, I discovered the camera, the technical machine. Fortunately, I soon realized that it could be used for something. Depictions of reality, photographs. It kept me busy for a few years. I pressed the button, developed the film, made prints, prints – I thought – of reality. But over time, a sense grew stronger and stronger that sometimes there is something more: that the image is not just a print of reality, a copy. The discovery that it was possible to use the camera to create something changed everything. Over time, my attention became less focused on what seemed special or nice or strange or unusual. Rather, I realized that images could say something that did not fit our words, that exceeded the language we ordinarily reserve for reality. And here I am now, today, always trying to depict the silence, trying to interpret the language of phenomena – of objects, of people, of our surroundings; it is a language beyond words, an eloquence that sometimes lights up, becomes visible, in the world around me. When we try to capture these fleeting impressions in a picture, we need the patience to fail. And to fail again.
